    Native to India Gum Karaya is also referred as Indian tragacanth, which is obtained from plantations of Sterculia urens. This dried exudate of the tree contains about 37% uronic acid residues and approximately 8% acetyl groups.

    Because tragacanth gum is useful as a wound healing substance, it is often used to cure acne and or skin conditions and Beauty products.
